Logging into your account

You can log into your Gandi account by clicking on “Log in” at the upper right-hand corner of our website, or by going directly to https://id.gandi.net/en/login. Your Gandi username will be the one that you chose when you created/activated your account.

If you have forgotten your password or username, click on the respective link below the field in question.

Logging in with two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication is an additional authentication method available on our website. It is not a replacement of the conventional login page, but rather, an additional layer, that helps make it harder for someone to hijack your account.

The configuration process is described on the account security page.

If you have a U2F key configured for your account, this page will display. Simply plug in your U2F key, press the button if it has any, and this will complete the authentication phase:

If you don't have an U2F key with you, but your account is protected with TOTP, follow the instructions below.

Since the TOTP authentication we use is time-based, please verify that your digital device has the correct date in time so that your token will be identified as valid.
  1. Log into gandi.net: You will go to the usual place (see above) to log in. If two-factor authentication is active for your account, then a second field will appear.
  2. Generate a token: Launch your TOTP application to generate a token,
  3. Enter your token: Enter the token that your TOTP application gave you into the field asking for your token and submit.

It is possible to regenerate an authentication key, or even deactivate this feature from your account. To do so, use the corresponding toggle that you see next to the two-factor authentication section on your Account Security page.

Web IP restriction

Web IP restriction is useful if you want to limit your handle's access to Gandi's website to specific IP addresses, or subnetworks. This can only be used, however, if you have a static IP address or a dedicated IP range. If you activate this option, connection to our website from IP address that are not in the list will be impossible.

WARNING: You must only specify public static IP addresses. If you are not sure whether or not your ISP provides you with a static IP address, then do not activate this feature until you have verified this. You will block yourself out of Gandi's website if your IP address changes!

Also make sure you defined both your IPv4 and your IPv6 if you have an IPv6 connection“.

Log in problems

Please be sure you are logging into https://id.gandi.net/en/login

You will enter:

  • your username: This is the username you chose for your personal account when you created your account or migrated to our new website. Only enter your classic Gandi handle (ex. AB1234-GANDI) if this is the first time accessing our new website with that handle and it has not yet been migrated to our new one.
  • your password: This is the password that you chose when you created your account on our new website.

For customers that migrated from our classic website: The passwords are not synchronized between our old and our new websites. If you change your password on one site, it will NOT change the password on the other. When logging into our new website, please only use the password that corresponds to the username you are using. If your password is rejected, you may be using the wrong one. The quickest solution is to just Change your password and try logging in again.

You can not log into our new website with your classic Gandi handle. The only reason to try logging into our new website with your classic Gandi handle is if you want to migrate its products to our new site and have not yet done so.

If you see an error saying that your handle is invalid, this means that you are trying to log in with your classic Gandi handle to our new website, and have therefore been forwarded to the account migration page.

The error is almost always caused by a format problem (the - in the wrong place, a space before or after the handle, etc.). Be sure that you are entering in your Gandi handle in the form AB1234-GANDI and that there are no spaces before or after it.

EMERGENCY? Since you have an account on our old website, and if you urgently need to make changes, or renewals etc. as before, you can always log into it at https://v4.gandi.net with your classic handle as usual

If, nevertheless, you have checked that you are entering the correct format for your handle, and that there are no spaces around it, then please contact our customer support team for assistance.

If you forgot your username or password, then click on the corresponding link on the login page, or go directly to the account recovery form, which looks like this:

You will enter the email address associated with your username and send the form. We will then send a mail to that address containing your username, and link that you can click on to reset the account's password.

Please fill out the email change form, and send it to Gandi along with the required proof of ID as specified in the form's instructions.
